How much is JobSeeker in 2025-26?
The base rate for a single person with no children is $762.70 per fortnight from March 2026. Rates are indexed to CPI twice per year.
How does the JobSeeker income test work?
You can earn up to $150 per fortnight before your payment reduces. Between $150–$256/fn it reduces by 50c per dollar; above $256/fn it reduces by 60c per dollar.
What are the JobSeeker asset limits?
Single homeowners must have assets below $314,000; non-homeowners below $566,000. Assets include savings and investments (excluding your home).
What is Youth Allowance?
Youth Allowance (job seeker) is for people aged 16–21 who are unemployed. The base rate is $677.40/fortnight.
Can I get JobSeeker if I have a partner?
Yes, partnered people can receive JobSeeker at a lower rate ($698.30/fn). Your partner's income is also assessed.
