Calculate your exact age and days until your next birthday
Your exact age is the number of complete years, months, and days since your date of birth. For example, if you were born on 15 March 1990 and today is 20 March 2026, you are 36 years, 0 months, and 5 days old.
The number of days you have been alive is calculated as the difference between today's date and your birth date. On average, a 30-year-old has lived around 10,950 days (accounting for leap years).
Leap years add an extra day (29 February) every 4 years, which slightly increases the total number of days you have lived. If you were born on 29 February, your birthday falls on 28 February or 1 March in non-leap years, depending on convention.
In Australia, you are legally an adult at 18 years of age. This is the age at which you can vote, sign contracts, purchase alcohol, and take on other legal responsibilities.
The Age Pension eligibility age in Australia is 67 for people born on or after 1 January 1957. The preservation age for accessing superannuation is 60 (for those born after 30 June 1964).
